Sounds like you hit something or someone solid. This is commonly called a "boxer's fracture". See an orthopedic surgeon, primarily one that specializes in hands. This condition requires proper care if you wish to continue using that hand for the rest of your life.

You have to have your hand x-rayed, there are hand specialists, believe it or not. They will tell you what is going on and what can be done to make you feel better. In the mean time, try soaking that hand in a mixture of water and epsom salt.
