Hi!
I think we're all different aren't we?
I go to bed at 10pm and I'm up at 5.30pm weekdays.
If I go to bed any later than 11pm then I really struggle to get out of bed in the morning, so I try to stick to 10pm or earlier if possible.
The other week we were so busy in work - I was doing 6.15am to 6.45pm on the Thursday, and when I got home on the Friday, we had an early tea around 5pm. By 7.15pm I had fallen asleep on the sofa. One of the kids woke me up with their noise - it was 8.30pm by then, so I went straight to bed.
Hubby was out on the razz that nite. I can remember him coming in coz I woke up for a split second, looked at him and then went straight back to sleep! I got up at 6.30am, so all in all I had about 11 hours sleep!
Like I said, we're all different, so I wouldn't stress about it!!
Nite, nite for tonight!!

That's a good lot of sleep all right, although everyone's needs are different; i go to bed at midnight, get up at 6.30am. You may be low in iron or one of the B vitamins; especially B12, which can leave you feeling exhausted all the time. Arrange for your bloods to be checked; it would be no harm to eliminate this anyway. it could just mean a simple vitamin supplement.

I sleep a lot too, normally i could sleep around 12 hours a day if i wanted to. I'm healthy, but I'm 16 and school is very stressing so i guess i look to sleep as a comfort thing. Visit your GP, i think this could be a sleeping disorder, if it is you can get medication and treat it quick and fast, so that you don't feel tired and weak. Good luck.

Yes it's normal. Everyone is different and the average adult gets approx. 6-10 hours of sleep. That is considered average. As long as you are waking up in the morning feeling refreshed and well- rested then you are fine:)

There are various stages of sleep. It is during REM stage (the one in which we dream) that we get the most refreshing sleep. If you don't get to that phase, you may wake feeling unrested and tire more quickly in the evening.

you are probably getting to much sleep which can make you more tired, sounds silly i know but you should maybe start going to bed at 11 instead of 10.Try doing some hobbies or read a book to keep yourself awake.

That sounds just like me. I'm 31, I go to bed at 9.30/10.00 and sleep till 8. Don't worry, I don't. We are just ppl who need our sleep.

Need for sleep is a very individual thing. I am useless without at least 8 hours of sleep myself.
