I had a bird bath de-icer plugged into the outdoor receptacle on my patio. A couple times it must've "tripped" something, coz the receptacles in the bathrooms didn't work. I reset the GFI receptacles in the kitchen and everything was ok.

But now it happened again and resetting the GFI's didn't work. Nothing seems to be tripped in the circuit breaker box, either. But, the receptacle on the patio and the ones in the bathrooms still don't work.

Can anyone tell me what's going on? I guess I should call an electrician??? Thanks!!

One of the GFCI receptecals is bad and not actually resetting. Call the electrician to check each one and replace the bad one(s).

You are having a ground fault some where prob. in the bird bath something is getting wet and alot of times GFI s trip once or twice and dont reset again you will need to replace the GFI and check the de-icer

Breaker in the breaker box do not flip to the off position when they trip..they kind a move 1/8".
So if you can't feel one breaker is off by running your finger down the side of a line of on breakers, then flip the breakers each one of them off/on and the power should come back on.
