The battery was fine. I plugged it into the computer and opened up itunes and it still wont work.I hope its not broken. I did not drop it or get it wet.

Try reseting it. Hold in the middle circle button and the menu button. That should help fix it.

is it still plugged in?
What file are you in? Go to the "library" or kick it off and check the ipod unit. Hopefully you didn't erase everything, I've got like 800 songs on mine and I would CRY.

Creepy, that sounds just like what happened to me. And my battery was fine and it wasnt damaged/dropped or anything either.

What kind of oPod is it? For most you just reset it, but if it's an old shuffle (the ones that remind you of a stick of gum) than go here:

you can bring it to the ipod store & they service it for free! that happened to me... it just froze in the middle of a song. but when i plugged it into the computer it was fine. bring it to the store.

i would go on your itunes then press restore then redownload the songs and see what happens or its like a paper wieght LOL

sometimes mine just freezes like if u pressed the buttons too many times. i just waited an hour or so and it works fine now. :)
