I am currently a meteorology major at Penn State, and it has one of the best, if not the best, programs in the country and I highly recommend it. Other colleges that offer meteorology as a major are Wisconsin, NC State, Georgia Tech, Texas A&M, Colorado State, Florida State, Oklahoma, and others. Most schools that offer meteorology are large, public schools, although there are a few private schools, like Cornell. You can probably find a more complete list on the AMS website.

You want to find a college with a strong physics program because that is the basis for a study of meteorology.
