By the computing industry definition, 1024 bytes is a Kilobye, 1024 Kilobytes is a Megabyte and 1024 Megabytes is a Gigabyte, and so on. However, many manufacturers are deferring to the metric definition of Kilo-, Mega, and Giga which would make 1000 Megabytes a Gigabyte. You can reasonably expect your manufacturer has adopted the latter definition, for obvious reasons.

1 gigabyte = 1024 megabytes i use foldoc computer dictionary for stuff like this -- ill post the link below

1 GB = 2^10 = 1024 MB , but in general, it's sometimes considered 1000 MBs, like the metric system.
