Its for the idiots who drive too fukkin close up behind people. Maybe they'll think twice when riding up so close if they know its a possiblity they may hurt a child in an accident. I'm looking for one of those signs right now to put in my back windshield.

theyre all good and well but how many times have those vehicles had serious accidents with a baby on board sign and the emergency services end up looking for the baby which wasnt actually on board any one know the statistics there

HA HA!! Thats super funny! Maybe its some sort of explanation to the rest of the world for those people who have the wife in the backseat with the baby and the front seat is empty. Thats so dumb. I hate it! Or perhaps an explanation of why a car is doing the exact speed limit, and driving extra careful while the rest of us get all mad and speed past!

Probably just to caution other drivers that there is a baby in the car in hopes that they will drive with a little more care. For example, not driving so closely.

I always thought that it was to let drivers know to drive more cautiously around the vehicle. The same way as when a truck has a sign to let you know there are explosives inside- but here is the encyclopedia verison on what it is for.

I always thought it would be a great gag to take a baby doll and nail it to a board and set it up in your back window. I wonder how many people would get the jest?

I was in accident once and the woman could not remember if her baby was with her or not so if the driver is knocked out maybe lets emp look for a child if it was not able to make a sound

to let you know there was a baby in the car and to maybe drive a little safer than you would have, people tend to care about baby's and children more than they do for others.

I'm not sure but a friend of mine used to stick those on windows at the hospital completely randomly... scared the crap out of some people.
