I am thoroughly confused, all answers are equally good but all are contradictory to each other and I seem to be stuck at square zero.

AVG Anti Virus is the best. Not only is it free but it will pick up and fix twice as many viruses as Norton or McAffe!

Well Norton Internet secuirty has all those protection features and protects against them beautifully and is very popular along side with Panda who also meets basic system protection and does the same beautifully. Both of which are easy to uninstall and install prefectly. They run and scan beautifully. McAfee can be good but in many cases it has destoryed the computer. McAfee is almost impossible to uninstall unless you are very lucky. Norton, Panda and McAfee are the top three internet protecters
1:Norton
2:Panda
3:McAfee
they are also all very popular. Of course Symantec is the biggest in the market shares but it's always changing. One time the worlds worst anti virus AVG made it to the top and fell back to the bottom within seconds after this happened during a markey error! LOL sorry if i offended anyone. Now Panda, Norton and McAfee are always changing the top over who has the most of the market shares the problem is that people are accusing the companys of making the viruses. Now there is no Proof here at all! Hope this helped you.

Anti-virus : Kaspersky
Anti-spyware : Spyware Doctor / AVG anti-spyware
Firewall : ZoneAlarm Pro / Comodo Personal Firewall
Security Suite : Kaspersky / ZoneAlarm
I guess Norton has the biggest anti-virus market share, but the AVG Free version is currently the most popular.

Consult the competent independent comparative tests such as those from Virus Bulletin. Based upon that, you will find that AVG and Avast both have dismal detection rates. Your best bet would be to use the free version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus which can be downloaded complletely free at www.activevirusshield.com

NOD32 is the best security for your computer. I live by it. I recommend you looking into it more and see what I am talking about. Next to that I would go with Norton Internet Security.

Two answers. AVG is in my opinion the best. you can find it at http://www.grisoft.com. I"ve been using it for over 5 years.
Norton anti-Virus by Symantec is easily the largest market share, followed by McAfee.
Biggest isn't always best.
