I know that MA stands for master and SL stands for slave but what does CA mean and if you choose it what will it do?

CS Cable select

Middle of cable- master
end of cable- slave

Actually it depends on the cable. A standard Cable Select Cable will have the master drive on the end of the cable, with the slave in the middle.

Some manufacturers will reverse the two wires that determine what drive is what, to support space concern in small cases. Those will absolutely be marked as such

It stands for Cable Select and it lets the motherboard choose the Master or Slave HD by where it is plugged into the IDE or SATA cable. who doesnt know that.lol
