I would like to be able to watch dvds on it. Is it to old to be able load media player or something of that sort on it? If I can were do I download it from? I have internet hook-up for it.

you'll need at least
• OS : Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/2003*
• Processor : Intel/AMD compatible at 1000 MHz
• RAM : 128 MB
• Free space : 40 MB for program installation
• DirectX : Microsoft DirectX 9.0
• Administrative permissions are required for installation
• Sound card : Windows compatible sound card

Yes you can if and only if you have a DVD player installed in the laptop. If you don't have a DVD drive (player) installed, then there is no software (program) that will allow you to play DVD's.
