I know..... I find that chant very annoying myself.
I find Americans more so ignorant and Arrogant....... As opposed to proud.

Why are you so proud of your country? It is simply that every country feels it's own superiority. I can tell you that you are going to get a lot of pissed off answers for this question. Put your country in where you say Americans and imagine someone else asking the question. You are going to defend your country because you are proud of it. And please stop generalizing. I hate when I am put into a stereotype because of other people's ignorance.

We have fought for everything we have. What's wrong with being proud of that? Where are you from? England? What do you have? A queen? You do know that all the English ever did was do what they were told? I can see how that can make people who have minds of their own can seem annoying. By the way, you should be thanking us for getting you somewhat of a democracy, and your welcome.

Well, and I say this with pride, being as most Americans come from Europe, I haven't once seen a European who wasn't proud of his country, I guess you can say it was bred in us.

If it's annoying, too bad. Do you not take pride in yourself? You should be proud to be who you are. No matter what that might be. If you aren't, then you should re-evaluate yourself, and see why you don't feel pride.

Because we come from a country that held it's own against the strongest country in the world at the time and we won just so we could be our own little nation.

Aren't the Muslims proud of being Muslim?
Pardon me, but I see them showing off their Proud Muslim and Proud Muslimah; but I've yet to see a Proud American!?
So, why does it annoy you?

we're proud because we can be..we are great people as are other people of the world.. we just aren't afraid to let people know we are proud of ourselves. I don't know why you are so annoyed...live and let live. Jealous?
