Depends on what kind of connection you have (you left that part out).

However, chances are, you may have to upgrade your connection in order to play

There's not enough detail to answer this question, what is your connection, who is you ISP and what are your computer's basic stats, is it just WoW or is all your internet slow.

If you are using dial-up, its time to upgrade. Run a internet speedometer and check your connection speed agaist what you are paying for. If they don't watch over several tests, let your ISP know.

Make sure you're not running anything else on the internet, espetailly torrents or other file sharers. Also make sure your computer hasn't become a zombie computer, run your virus scanner and make sure to run your adware busters.

Try picking another server. Do some reasearch and choose a server closer to your home. You can use the WoW website to find out where their servers are.

There is usually never anyway to get faster internet unless its wifi , then you can move the box around your house to find a better "hot Spot" some ISP's offer a slightly faster package for and extra couple of bucks.

If your playing on a notebook you could go down to your local coffee shop, most have wireless internet, they call them " Internet Cafes.
