A while ago i had a pshycic reading over the phone for $60 dollars. But hte reading was terrible and fake! i'm not paying for that crap. She keeps calling for the money now if i don't pay she'll call the authorities. You think I can go to jail for something like this? She did the reading from her home also. What do you think?

A person did a psychic reading for you over the phone and did not ask you for a credit card up front? I don't know what land of OZ that person is living in but here in the real world people do not allow you to take your merchandise home and send them payment at a later date...so I say if she doesn't get paid, that's her stupidity for not getting the money up front. However, I don't know all of the circumstances behind this. While you were on the phone with her, did she tell you that she was recording the conversation, explain the terms of payment and asked you if you agreed with the terms? If so, that is proof of you accepting responsibility of payment. If that didn't occur, I don't know how you would get in trouble. If you're under 18, she would be the one to get in trouble because you are not old enough to purchase things over the phone. Also, how is she going to prove to the authorities that you are the one who called? One of your friends could have taken your cell phone or been over your house and used your phone without you knowing. I suggest that you talk to your parents about this. They are probably the best people to give you advice and help you out of bad situations because they are always on your side. But don't worry about going to jail. People don't go to jail for things like that.

You can't go to jail for it, she could sue you but it would cost her more to do that than just let it go.

But this is her job and her way of making a living. If you went to the doctor and didn't like what happened in the office you'd still have to pay. If you went to a mechanic and they fixed something on your car but it didn't help the problem you'd still have to pay. Just because you didn't like what she had to say doesn't mean you aren't responsible for paying the bill. If you aren't willing to risk losing the 60 bucks don't call in.

No, those things are just like the magazines people get and never pay for or bills... you're not going to jail you just own some money and no one can make you come up out your own pockets but the IRS or child support office!

well i doubt that you'll go to jail for it, but if you agreed to pay her $60. for the reading and she did the reading, then you should pay up and chalk it up to payment for a good lesson in life. THe authorities could care less if you pay her or not. They'll tell her to sue you.

You owe her the money. By calling the number, but agreed to pay the money to her. It is your own fault for falling for the stupid caller psychic. You should know that they are just money hungry people trying to find an easy way to get rich.
