It was pretty rubbish but scared the living daylights out of me when I saw it on TV in the 80's. I thought it was called 'Child's Play' but can't find it on IMDB!

EDIT: I know there is a film called Child's Play with a killer doll, but I first saw this in the mid-80's, before Chucky appeared!

It was in the 'Hammer House of Mystery and Suspense', episode 12, aired back in 1986! Can I give myself points?

I have never heard of that movie. Child's Play was about that doll that came to life. I would ask the people at Blockbuster. Hey, the have commercials about how much they know about movies!

I think it might have been and episode from either the Twilight Zone or The Outer Limits.
It sound very familiar, I'm quite sure I seen some like as well.
