Clinton Aides Testified 47 Times under oath
Clinton could have fought these appearances all the way to the Supreme Court.
The reason he didn't was simple: He had nothing to hide.
Why are the Bushies fighting so hard over this
one issue to tell the TRUTH under oath?

Be careful, the Conservatives on here will gang up on you, abuse the report button and get your account turned off.

Oh, to anwer you question: Bush thinks he is above the law and can do anything and get away with anything, since he is the President of the United States. He has violated the Geneva Convention, the War Powers Act, the War Crimes Act, and the Foreign Intelligence Survelliance Act when he wiretapped American citizens without getting a warrant first.

This is the first time he has had Congress or anyone else put a check on his power and he is outraged. Hopefully, this is the first of many such acts by Congress. For the good of America and our Constitution, he needs to end up in jail.

I believe that Bush has much to hide. Look, we cannot possibly be blind to the fact that there is a grand agenda at work here. The "Patriot" act, a few key executive orders, refusing to let these guys' comments be taken under oath or recorded, teaming up with Canada and mexico to establish a multi-lateral union, the treaties of which will take precedence over our own constitution (and that's a fact. if you don't believe it, ask someone familiar with international law). Surely I cannot be the only one thinking, "what is going on here?"

Who's fighting?? The real issue is that the attorneys work at the will of the president. He doesn't have to have a reason to hire or fire them. He also does not have to have any permissions from Congress or any other entity. Hence, Congress, has absolutely no authority to supoena the Bush administration for hireing or fireing the attorneys. To do so userps the power of the president. Clinton was a completely different story, he committed a crime then lied about it during the investigation. Congress had a right to supoena witnesses during the ensuing investigation because they had the authority under the constitution to start an investigation. They did not have that constitutional authority in this federal attorney issue and therefore the administration officials should not have to testify under oath by law. To attempt to force this issue by forcing supoenas when it has no constitutional authority to do so is unconstitutional and violates the rights of the individuals being supoena'd. Its simple constitutional law, something the liberals love to abuse and spin for their own agenda.

Obviously a lot, or else he wouldn't be so dead set against his cronies testifying under oath. Nixon was a very secretive and sneaky President, but Bush's antics make Nixon's look insignificant.

Clinton did object to his aides testifying, and did fight them, just not to the supreme court.

Are you deaf? Did you not hear the president explain, nor tony snow explain the reasons for not testifying on the record?

Open you ears!!!!!!

Allowing subpoenas would affect people in the future from telling the president what is on their minds.

What you should be asking is, "why do the democrats want him to testify under oath". What is it they are trying to find out? It doesn't matter WHO, WHEN, WHERE, HOW, WHY they were fired!!!!

THEY HAVE BEEN FIRED, GET OVER IT!!!!!

Maybe the whitehouse should subpoena the congresspeople's aides to see if the subpoenas to the whitehouse aides are pollitically motivated.
