I mean, it's like choosing between two evils- you're screwed either way.

We live in a democracy, we have THE RIGHT to vote, do you have any idea how many people in different Countries would love to be able to do what is OUR RIGHT to do. Yes many times we must choose between two evils, but I would rather have my say at the evil that will run the country or province. Just have a look at the Countries that do not have this right and see if it works for them. It is not a wast of time, it is YOUR RIGHT and you should get down to a polling station and claim you right.

Should you choose not to vote, you loose your right to complain on how things are being run. You loose your right to b1tch about how tax dollars are spent, basically you don't have a say because you forfeited THAT RIGHT by NOT voting.

I dont feel it would be a waste of time if there was actually someone worth voting for. I am a registered voter but do not vote because I feel the elections are nothing more than a mud-slinging, who can dig up the most dirt on who contest. In my opinion they should be using their time for better and more productive things. And evidently it dosent matter to them what the American people want, it is what they want. However, with a son soon to be deployed I may just vote for the one who will get the United States out of the war.

There is always one choice that is better than the other. If you can honestly look at a paycheck and say the amount of taxes you pay is not enough, if you think we can say "pretty please" to terrorists and they will go away, if you think the home loan interest rates are too low and they are causing way too many people to finally be able to afford a home,if you think it is alright to completely deliver a live breathing baby and snip its brain stem in two(partial birth abortion), then you may have a problem making a choice and you should probably make it easy on yourself and just stay home and watch a little MTV...

Look at it this way. If you don't vote, you really don't have any reason to complain about who is elected. You had your chance to have your say in who will be in office. You chose not to take it. Your choice not to vote isn't necessarily bad. I've never voted in either the presidential or local elections, but that is because I'm not eighteen yet.

I guess when there's nothing good to vote for. It should be our responsibility as the people to get people and measures on the ballot that are not a waste of time.

I've been voting for the wrong person for 34 years but it beats the alternatives.

The only thing that annoys me is how few actually DO vote.

Maybe those of us that do vote should pick 10 or so non-voting friends and vote the majority opinion!

hmm...

Yes, every choice makes us give something up, but I think there are allways different proportions of "evil" on both sides, you know? I mean.... each of those "evils" must be measurable, so you can choose the best alternative..... :)
