because that is a waste.....a biological waste. And biological waste always produce bad smell.

The bile that is extreted into the food during digestion is the largest component of the smell. The reason we perceive it as a bad smell is because of an adaptive response to keep us from wanting to eat it since it can be harmful to us to eat stool.

The chemicals left in the fecal matter after it goesa through your digestive system and the bacteria digesting it and creating the gasses that makeit smell. Thats why when animals go to the bathroom in a closed room and it sits in there a few days the whole room stinks.

Is it because as part of digestion the bacteria that is part of the normal flora decomposes the food, also is a way for the system to get rid of toxic substances . But it also depends of the kind of food the individual eats.
