So I asked a friend earlier in the week to go to a party with me last night and he says yes. So yesterday during the day I told him what time I wanted to leave for the party and what time he should meet me, we agreed to leave at 11pm. So I call him at 9pm again and tell him he can come over anytime b/c I just got home. Anyways, I get out of the shower at like 10:30pm and I see he texts me and says he can't make it. So I call him and his phone is off, then I finally got through around 11pm but no pick up. So I'm mad that he didn't even have the decency to call me and tell me he couldn't come, let alone cancel at the last minute. I wasn't planning on going to this party with anyone else, so I was about to go on my own until I found another friend to come along with me. What are your thoughts? I don't even feel like talking to this kid. Am I being too harsh?

That's a little harsh.
It sounds as if he was all for going and something came up at the last minute. You don't know the reason he couldn't go. It's possible that there was an emergency.
Talk to him before you cut ties over something so silly.

You first have to think about the relationship are you very close to this friend ? and is this something that they have done before? find the answer to these questions then don't make a decision until you actually talk to them. you never know something could have happened to then and they couldn't make it for real you know because of an emergency you don't know until you get all the facts.

I wouldn't cut ties just yet. You may be jumping to conclusions. No it wasn't nice that he didn't at least call you. But don't dump him because of that...maybe he has a good reason. Ask him.

Your not being harsh if they canceled for a good reason...like my granda died but otherwise if they cancel to play PS2 you are being totally resonable..im a girl and i know what it feels like to be canceled on....and it STINKS! ( specailly if you got allredy first)

dude, all you need to do is talk to him. Once you see him, take him ASIDE (very imp) and ask him wats on your mind. wat ever he answers if ur not convinced ask him again and make yourself more heard (tell him wat u rly mean) if hes a regular frnd, u guys wnt talk 4 a while then realize its stupid, if u guys are jst classmates who see each other then u might not talk again (ever) if u guys are close together then he should understand and tell u wat hppnd, if he dznt then it means smthn personal went on. hope i could help. tc
