Van Halen has some good songs from the 80s....and Boston.....hm...........i think nirvana was late 80s and early nineties but i don't think u would want to use them....The Cars were from the 70s and 80s.....You could probably find other bands and stuff if u search"Pop hits from the 80's" on yahoo

Anything by 1980's Michael Jackson is always a safe bet. Anything by A Flock of Seagulls, The Cars, Culture Club, Duran Duran, Blondie, The Human League, The Police, The Pretenders, The Talking Heads, The Go-Go's, The Knack, Dexy's Midnight Runners, The Bangles, Devo, Cyndi Lauper, Men at Work, Gary Numan, etc.

99 Luftballons by Nena, it's a German song but it was extremely popular back in the 80s.

They came out with a version in English afterwards, called 99 red ballons.

Strongly political, but not so easy to understand.

go find the list of the VH1 top 80's song of all time. you can probaly just look in google. there was some great songs on that list. i wasnt even born in the 80's and i knew everyone of them
