I'm 9 stone and i'm a size 8 to 10 which people say is quite big. Do anyone know what the average size is?

in the uk the average size is a size 16 (usa size 12) and the average height is 5ft 4in.
a size 8 - 10 is not big ( usa size 4 - 8)
size shouldn't matter its wether you are healthy or not as you can be a size 8 and be really ill and unfit just the same as you can be a size 16 but be realy healthy and fit.

which people say that is big? Is this American sizes because an American 10 is a UK 14. Even so it's not that big!
Most shops stock sizes 10 to 16 generally and anything smaller or larger than this is stocked in fewer shops. Average is probably a 14/16 at the moment.

Average now in the UK is 14 -16 and I'm glad as it was always hard to find young modern clothes bigger than size 12 years ago.
Here in Spain it's appalling, there are young trendy shops but they don't do over size 12 normally and average is 8. If you are over 30 and want to dress trendy and fashionable it's quite hard as in the older persons shops the fashion is boring and very classic but the sizes are much more generous. I don't buy clothes here, I wait till I visit the UK.
Also I can't understand if you are 9 stone how you could possibly be a size 8-10, people that are that size usually weigh alot less.

the average size in britian is about a size 16. but that is not the most common size i would say most people are a size 12-14. size 8 to 10 is a good size as you get clothes in your size. im a size 6 and most shopss don't go small enough.

that is not big at all!!!!!! the average clothes size of women in the uk is a size 16. people who are telling you that 8 to 10 is big, are either jealous or ill!

Size 8-10 isn't big, that is thin. The average size in the UK is a size 14 or 16 I believe.
I'm a size 12.

The average British woman is 5ft 4ins, size 5 feet and size 14 clothing. Don't get paranoid. You must look beautiful being so slim. whoever is saying you're big has one hell of a jealous streak and probably a massive chip on her shoulder!!
