Major automotive paint supply stores carry a glue removal product made by 3-M. The same folks make all types of tape and new valve and combustion chamber cleaner products. All 3-M products do a first class job.

there is a product called Oops!! or even another called Goof Off which are solvents designed to remove adhesives. They are available in 4.5 oz size cans or larger-check Home Depot, Lowes, "www.drugstore.com" or your local paint store. Before you try this on the hood, try it on the inside of your trunk lid to make sure it won't de-gloss or damage the paint finish.

Pain in the ***. Try the solvent they use to remove 3M weatherstrip adhesive...they call these solvents "releases"...they "release" glues.

You MAY also loose some paint, so be prepared to replace the padding to hide the damage.

Try Goo-Gone or kerosene and wax it afterwards.
