im thinking of buying a 1994 toyota camry for $1000, but it as tight steering. Any thoughts on the problem?

That's just the way it is. It doesnt have power steering. That car usually has rack and pin steering(I think that what they call it), which is kinda tight.

You need to change the steering u joint. Cost is about 120 dollars. Available from Toyota dealer. I have a new one that I didn't use because the car was totaled before I got to replace it. You can have it for 75 dollars, Kelly

All cars have power steering these days. Its something to due with that or rack n pinion ( that how it sounds) so thats how I spell it
