Both jobs are leadership jobs....how important it is depends on what you want the outcome to be. Teachers and Parents are role models. Kids base their thinking on what they SEE the adults do...not what they say...I'd say leadership ability is the qualification for the job.

Very important. I think a teacher not only teaches out of books, but sets an example. Teachers influence their students by how they act and what they do. So do parents. There is an old saying,"Do as I say, not as I do." I don't know who made this up,but it's stupid. Children are influenced more by what they see, than by what they are told. Parents and teachers should be good leaders by setting good examples to follow.

Very important, because our children look up to and tend to follow your lead, so in either position it is very important to be a leader.
