Why do people care if a child is born out of wedlock? I understand the moral thing, but teasing and stuff isn’t going to reverse time so the dad can put a rubber on... what’s with the hassling?

no matter what, people judge people. Hate it or not. They may see that parent irresponsible for not using birth control. Irresponsible due to the fact the child might grow up doing the exact same thing b/c she was shown that it's ok and mommy did it. if you're religious, it's definitly a sin and you child's mom shows it's ok to have sex before you're married. studies show most couples who co-habitate, don't ever get married. What if the father decides to leave one day? Raising a child without it's real father is hard.
I don't think people should judge, but it definitely doesn't look good. Especially if you're african-american. It kind of just adds to the stereotype.

A baby born out of wedlock is a disgrace to the baby and mother too. Maybe think of that before it happens. Poor baby is also known as a bastard for the rest of its life.

I don't think the issue is so much that... it's when a woman has multiple children, each with different fathers. This causes problems for the children, yes, but other people really just should keep their noses out of it.

I find that people who hassle others have no sense of value in themselves and belittling others makes them feel they have power, when all it does is show what kind of up bringing they had.
