If the sailors have confessed it is under severe duress, do you have any idea, the sort of torture that countries like Iran inflict, espcially on western people, who they despise, do you realise that the female sailor may well have been raped as a form of interogation, they may well have been in Iranian waters, who actually knows, I also know I don't believe anything this government says either, and if it turns out that they were in Iraninan waters, this government should be held accountable for what happens to those sailors, as it is the government that has put them in that position.

There is no admission from the sailors yet, and certainly whilst they are in captivity in an openly hostile country, are you sure you could accept the veracity of such an admission.

To answer your question, the British government will accept they were in Iranian waters only once they have been given proof that were. So far most reports, from other sources which I wouldn't fully trust either if it comes to it, say they monitored the radio traffic, and triangulation of the signals shows they were in Iraqi waters. However, the actual area is highly disputed, so it really depends on who's side you are on eventually as to whom you will believe.

So we are told by the Iranian's. I doubt very much if this is true.Is it more likey, the 15 British sailors and Royal Marines were victims of a deliberate ambush on the disputed Shatt al-Arab waterway by Iranian Revolutionary Guards, perhaps seeking to use the captives as hostages in the increasingly tense stand-off between the West and Iran over its nuclear programme.??

Oh sure! They confessed all by themselves. They didn't look the least bit nervous. Yeah Right! No coercion by their kidnappers at all! If they didn't confess, they may not be alive right now! Who knows what they have done to the 15 sailors! Especially the woman! Pray for them to be released quickly!

They were in a place that is recognised as Iranian territory by Iranians, but Iraqi territory by the British government. That is the real problem.

This coming from the same Country that said the movie "300" was brainwashing people to continue the war.

The same country that is building a nuclear for power.. If you believe that.

This coming from a country who still stones people to death.

Why not give the sailors back anyhow? And I am sure by Iran's standard of interrogation that the sailors are bruised, broken and bloody. They would probably admit to anything to live.

Only Iran has stated that and it has been repeated, in most cases hopefully, with the clarification that Iran says they confessed. I have seen no direct reports that the soldiers themselves have admitted anything,

you need to realize when a party who is idealogically oppossed to your nations actions says something bad about your nation they may not be 100% honest.

Okay, the British sailors did not cross the Iranian territory and the Iranians arrested and took them from the English Channel; is it now justifiable enough to invade Iran?

You are being very naive. Of course they've confessed, probably under torture or threat of torture. Iran should go for the politicians who cause us all so much trouble and release these lads. As far as I'm concerned Blair and Ahmadinnerjacket are as bad as one another but it's always the poor bloody infantry who suffer.

The government will never admit this because everyone connected with the British government are American poodles and they were told to try and cause trouble with Iran so Bush could carry out his next invasion, and of course Tory Liar will join him.
