Because you have specific dates, you should check out Ryan Air or Easy Jet for a flight. Often times, flying can be cheaper than taking the train. But the Italian train system is excellent and is currently 51 Euros a person.

Go by train. It will take about 4 hours and 39 minutes. It can cost any where from $67.00 to $107.00 dollars.
Do a search on rail passes in Italy. Or rent a car is another option.
