I know some one who setup an internet cafe,he uses 2003 windows server for his main base station and uses fedora for his substation,for about a week he kept on experincing problems with browsing from the new station.Though he could browse within that time the problems kept on coming once in awhile.What will be the advice from an experinced windows server and linux server administrator?

The linux machine will have very little trouble communicating w/ the windows machine. It is vice versa.

Try samba for making a windows like file system on Linux.

Also get a ssh client like putty and psftp to transfer files from Linux to windows. There is also one from http://www.ssh.com there is a free non-commercial version that you can open up a Linux file system from a windows machine.

"experiencing problems" doesn't tell us anything. He should learn how to configure the two operating systems.
