There is devastating news that Kiran Chetry is leaving Fox News Channel over a contract dispute between her agent and the FNC staff. According to a fax obtained by Media Bistro, Dianne Brandi, FNC legal VP, says "Chetry is free to leave Fox News prior to March 6 (the natural expiration of the agreement) with no further compensation."
The alleged fax was sent to John Ferriter of the William Morris Agency. Dianne Brandi continued in the fax "You have treated Fox News with such arrogant disregard that we do not desire to do any further business with you. You refused to enter into good faith negotiations despite your client's statement that she wanted to remain at Fox News and was happy with the remuneration we had offered. "
As most of you know Kiran Chetry is one of the "Women I Like". I've covered her for years now (as you can see below). It will truly be a downer to lose her from Fox News, though to be honest they really haven't used her as much as they should have. If this fax proves true then it seems like a done deal as her agency has really made the relationship unable to be salvaged.
"We had hoped that Ms. Chetry would have a bright future with the Fox News Channel, however this negotiation has now become more trouble than it is worth." said Dianne Brandi at the end of the fax.
