You can still grow after you start your period, in fact most people do, but if you have stoped growing there is nothing you can do about it, but if you have not you can help your growth along by being active, plenty of sleep, your body releases the growth hormone when you are sleeping and being active increases the production of it, how many short athletes do you see? eat good food, proscessed food is not as good for you as fresh, never eat until you feel full because that is over eating.

It's different for girls than boys, but it does depend on the dna. My dad's 5'10 and my mom was 5'2. I'm 5'5. It sucks. I can only guess that if you're only 5'0 @ 14yrs, then you'll probably grow about 1 or 2 more inches before you turn 18. Females normally stop growing around 14 or 15yrs. Your parents aren't giants, so don't expect to grow too much more than your current height. I'm no expert, so maybe you should ask your doctor and she what he/she says about it.
Wait a minute(to poster beneath me)!!! You mean to tell me that I could be taller if I'd gotten more sleep in my adolescense? I've never heard that women stopped growing around 23!!! Even men stop @ 21. What's your source?

you should take your father's height, add your mom's and divide by 2. This will give you your optimal height, but in order to achieve that there are many things that influence it, like nutrition and physical activity. A woman stops growing at 23 years of age.
What you can do to help having an optimal outcome is sleep for at least 8-9 hours (growth hormone is only released while we sleep). Follow a healthy diet, and exercise, preferably sports where you have to stretch, like volley-ball or basket-ball.
Most of the physiologically important secretion occurs as several large pulses or peaks of GH release each day. The plasma concentration of GH during these peaks may range from 5 to 35 ng/mL or more. Peaks typically last from 10 to 30 minutes before returning to basal levels. The largest and most predictable of these GH peaks occurs about an hour after onset of sleep.[4] Otherwise there is wide variation between days and individuals. Between the peaks, basal GH levels are low, usually less than 3 ng/mL for most of the day and night.
The amount and pattern of GH secretion change throughout life. Basal levels are highest in early childhood. The amplitude and frequency of peaks is greatest during the pubertal growth spurt. Healthy children and adolescents average about 8 peaks per 24 hours. Adults average about 5 peaks. Basal levels and the frequency and amplitude of peaks decline throughout adult life.

if you got your period at 11, then you're basically done growing. It's ok, I'm 16 and still 5'1... excersize won't make you grow any taller.
