Depends on how long ago you had sex with him.
Was it years ago? Last year? Last month?
Were they dating when you had sex with him?
If it happened before they were dating, then that should be ok. However, if you and he had sex while she was dating him, then you really burned your best friend. Neither you or the boyfriend has been a very good friend. I would expect both your relationship with your friend and the boyfriend to end rather quickly and not very well.
Face it, you cheated! You screwed your best friend over. Think how you would feel if it happened to you. Would you want it to happen to you?
I think this guy is an awful person to drive a wedge between two best friends. You let it happen. He knew what he was doing: Playing the field! I wouldn't look for a steady relationship with him because if he can do this to one girl, he will do it to others.
I would apoligize to your best friend, say what a horrible person you are, and tell her how much you love her. Be prepared to feel a boot on your ***.

I don't know what the best advice to give you would be.
I am tempted to say that you should tell her, and just be honest with her.
She needs to know that her boyfriend is not faithful because he may be putting her at risk for sexually transmitted diseases. If he had sex with you, he may have had sex with others also. You probably should be medically tested yourself.
You did a bad, bad thing, and you may lose your friendship with her, but I think she needs to know.

You could ask her if her boyfriend has any sexual diseases you should be aware of.
And then tell her to start looking for a real best friend and wink at her. She'll get it. Youre kind of a pig arent ya?

well u could say to her "um i have to tell u something idid not mean to but i slept with your boyfriend and i am so sorry it meant nothing to me and i don't even like him it was just something that happened please forgive me your my best friend i didn't to hurt u but it happened and i can't change that it was a mistake your my best friend and i love ya i am really sorry oh so much" crying while saying this could help too

don't do it over the phone.
or on stupid little text.
but tell it to her face.
say "i'm really sorry. i don't know what i was thinking...but one thing went to another and me and your boyfriend ended up hooking up"
but you know what? i dont think she'll forgive u. but i CAN guarantee that she won't trust you as she did before. i mean hello? look at your question! you had sex with your BEST FRIEND's bf. sheesh. so you deserve the consequences.

sit her down and suck it in a tell her the truth nothing will make it easier at this point, I once did that terrible mistake my friend was upset but did forgive me in the end. Usually a friend will forgive but there is the chance she wont forgive you
