Ok, my dress is a brown and white halter, I know it sounds a bit odd but it is cute. I'm wondering, I think I am going to make my own garter, corsage, and boutineer. What color, flowers. Is it ok to do school colors for a garter?(blue and gold). Also what color tux does my date get? I don't think white is a good idea for him. and no brown any suggestions?

For flowers, I'd say go with white. Or, if you want to add some color, pick autumn colors like dark reds, orange, yellows, etc.
For the tux, classic black with white tuxedo shirt would probably work best.
I think a blue & gold garter might clash with your overall look. If you stick to plain gold it might work. You can have some gold ribbon added to your flowers as an accent to tie in with the garter.

have him get black tux with a tie that would match your dress and just get a white corsage
