I am unable to establish an internet connection to the second tower. I am using a Belkin 2 port KVM switch and D-link router.
Please advise. Provide link for help if you can.
Thanks

The KNM has nothing to do with your internet connection.

Your physical connection should look like this:

Wall to Broadband Modem.
Broadband Modem to Routers Wan, Internet, Port.
Routers Ethernet Port #1 to Computer #1 Ethernet Port
Routers Ethernet Port #2 to Computer #2 Ethernet Port

The KVM connection is just for Keyboard, Video and Mouse. You would plug your Monitor, Keyboard and mouse into the KVM and then connect the corresponding cables from the KVM to computer #1 and computer #2.

The last thing to do is to do the Routers setup so it can handle the logging to your ISP and both computers should have the internet....

Try to invest for a Hub rather than a D link router unless its a wireless router. Connect the KVM switch to both towers and plug the RJ45 to the hub and another RJ45 to your router.

The problem is with your router. More so the computer that cannot connect. You have to fiddle with the settings. Try renewing your IP address on it.
