Has anyone seen The Last Mimzy? Does it have demonic influence or magical forces?

From the preview, it looks like 2 kids find an object from the future that helps them save the world. But does the movie involve magic, spirits, or any type of demonic influence? I want to take my 3-yr old and think she may be scared.
