I am a neonatal ICU nurse and 37 week old babies do very well. They are nearly full term. Her lungs should be fully developed already along with all her other organs. She will just be a cute tiny baby. I would not worry. 2 weeks can give her a lot more weight, but we have babies who go home weighing 4lbs 12 oz. They just use a car bed instead of a carseat. Good Luck on delivery.

usually 37 weeks is the time obs like to deliver if there is any problems going on....b.c the baby will have a higher chance of being ok...and if they think her lungs arent mature they will give you a steriod shot to help with that ...so dont worry everything will be fine..more in likely she will be about 5 lbs when you deliver ..good luck and congrats..

yes, anything after 37 weeks is not considered premature in MD language. It's not to see there won't be complications because even people who have had none throughout whole pregnancy could have complications at birthing time.

Good luck!

I'm a high risk pregnancy, and was told by my specialist that a baby born after 34 weeks has a 100% chance of surviving. So please dont worry about anything. your doctor wont induce unless he was sure it was neccessary. Good Luck.

It will be ok. Eat healthy and take very good care
of yourself these two weeks. The baby should be 5 lbs. by then. Hope you have a very healthy beautiful baby. Congrats!!!

This is really something you should be discussing with a doctor rather then strangers.
