Only you can answer that. I wonder why you have to ask?

At face value, no, there's nothing wrong with it at all. But, why do you ask? If you are sure it's a good thing, you wouldn't be asking the question, would you?

It's a good thing as long as you are both in the relationship for the right reasons. These days, with the clashes of cultures being so pronounced, there's a good chance one or both of you could be in the relationship for the wrong reasons. (The same way a woman may go with a rich old guy, just because he's rich). That's not a good relationship.

As long as you are both into this relationship for each other and there aren't any hidden agenda's, you go girl.

If skin color is the ONLY issue, then being white and having a black boyfriend is not "bad" at all.

However, it's a hard mix for some people to deal with. For religious reasons, generational reasons, race ignorance, etc.

So some of your relatives or friends or his relatives or friends may not support your decision to date or be together.

If you're dating a decent guy with a good head on his shoulders who has plans for his life or has established himself already, that's cool. Your friends & family still might not like him just because he's black.

If he's in trouble or is struggling or going nowhere....they'll blame it on him being black! Be prepared for that. No matter the race or color, find a guy who treats you respectfully, is kind to old folks, smiles at kids, smiles at you, works hard and isn't in trouble. (and look at how his dad treats his mom. that's a good indication of what you can expect)

Maybe it's just me, but I don't have a great past with blacks. Personal matters I will not go in to.

If no one knows, nearly more than 80% of all blacks have been in jail, if not more. A large fraction of them, are still in jail. Nearly all blacks are troublemakers, and nothing truly good comes from them.

I'm sorry if this comes of racist, but it's true. Either it's murder, rape, drug-dealing, attempted assault or just plain assault, disturbing the peace, etc.

If you also don't know, most of them don't even know how to speak properly. They don't act normal nor civilized. Even if it's love, ok. Go for it. Just be sure he doesn't abuse you. Or murder you. Or drag you into some kind of trouble.

Again, sorry if this comes out racist. It's true. Nearly all blacks are unemployed. No jobs, just hanging out on the street. Truly, where is the future in their lives? None. Except maybe rapping.

Then, rapping is no good influence. All they sing about is sex, drugs, violence and bling. Be original and think of something else to sing.

I've just had a very bad experience with blacks. I wasn't like this before. If you don't pay attention, pay attention. If you're in love, and you love him, go for it. Just be conscious.

Maybe it's because I'm a little older, but I have seen first hand the problems interracial couples have had. There have been instances where neither party has been accepted by their families. And I have seen some people who have committed suicide over the treatment they have received for loving someone of a different race. Modern society likes to think that they are all for "diversity", but deep down we still don;t like to see inter racial families.

No it is not. You are both. You can have whatever kind of boy friend you want. Why would it be bad? This is 2007. Not the 1950's or 1960's. I'm Hispanic and White. I learned years ago you can go out with whoever you want. If people can't accept it it's their problem. NOT yours.

This is a decision for you and your boyfriend. It's becoming more common, but there are still a lot of bigots in the USA who might be interested in making your life hell, especially if you run into them late at night when everyone has been out partying and you are especially cute. Do what your heart/gut tells you. It's your life. You should be happy.

Just celebrated our tenth anniversary, with two bi-racial kids, so I hope there is nothing wrong with mixed relationships.

Don't go into this with your eyes closed. Some, hopefully only a few, will treat you differently, will give you second looks, etc. Nothing big, but it's out there. You will have the same problems that all couples have, so don't worry about the skin.

Absolutely not young lady. If he makes you happy and you make him happy and you want to do the family thing, then best wishes to you.

I think unmarried sex is not so good, well bad then, but as for the interracial aspect? Nope. I am very white and I raised little brown girls and had been with a brown daddy for most of my adult life. I am all for it.

I used to say our daughters were part of our ongoing "colour your world" project. They have the skin their blonde friends risk cancer to have.

No, i went though that quite a short time ago acctually, my parents were sort of suprized, but there is nothing wrong w/ that, as long as you really do like him. Just make sure you know what you are getting into, people will judge you by that. My friends told me a saying, "Once you go black, you never go back."

If we were still living in the stone ages it'd be bad, but times have changed SO much, and you should never question how you feel about someone just because of skin colour-if you're happy with it then go for it, girl!
