why do people like to have sex when they dont want to have a baby?

The sex drives of the male & female are equally strong..it just seems that the male is more so b/c they are more open about it. Sex is a pleasurable experience, if not then we would have become extinct years ago. People have sex for the simple joy of it, if you don't want a child you should use birth control...& no one who isn't old or mature enough to handle the possiblities of getting pregnant should be having sex to begin with.

I think out of all the animals in the animal kingdom, Monkeys, Dolphins and Humans are the only ones who have sex just for fun. They do it because they think it feels good. I think that our culture is just really open to sex so much that we dont associate it with the actual act of making a child, so many people who dont even want a baby, have sex because they just know it is fun to them. Hormones can do some crazy stuff to you!!!

Sex is a normal function in any human, is part of a rich and complete life; sex impulses are natural to any normal and healthy individual. The connection with the partner in different levels includes sex , is not the most important but enriches life specially if you share it with somebody that you care for and when you are in a faith-full and committed relationship.

in humans the desire for sex is not just in a reproductive response for propagation of species but is also a manifestations of higher brain functions like emotions. the hypothalamus and the limbic system are also involved. in case of other mammals the females are generally unreceptive to males unless they are in their 'estrous' or heat period but in case of humans both the male and female have equal libido in normal circumstances all year round.
