I have had many experiences where a loved one has died, and my house begins to reek of roses and flowers.

I have not smelt flowers....but have smelt perfume, cigar, tobacco pipe. I was told when you are in need of reassurance is when "they" will be around. That is their way of letting you know they are there for you.

I can't say I have - but I have smelled the flowers at the funeral. Like, bent down to smell them. Some people think that's odd. I do not.

Yes...roses. We also found a tiny bunch of wild violets on the floor after my grandmother's funeral.....in January. Wild violets were her favorite.
