the songs.. our lives, here's to the night, good riddance, graduation day, graduation song (vit c).. are excluded...

the faculty rejected all those songs... they want a mellower one, the one that would supposedly make us cry... *sarcastic*

so please help me/us....

thanks!!!

For my graduation, I sang the Night Ranger song "Goodbye". It went over very well. They're a band from the 1980's but the song's still really good. Just reading the lyrics doesn't do it justice, you should find the mp3.
.
Lyrics to Goodbye
.
Vs. 1:
As the sun hides his head
For another night's rest
And the wind sings
His same old song
And you on the edge
Never close, never far
Always there when I needed a friend
.
Yet it's hard living life
On this memory-go-round
Always up, always down
Spinning 'round and 'round and 'round
.
Chorus:
And all this could be
Just a dream so it seems
I was never much good at goodbye
.
Vs. 2:
There once was a time
Never far from my mind
On the beach, on the 4th of July
I remember the sand
How you held out your hand
And we touched for what seemed a lifetime
.
Now it's hard
Leaving all this behind me now
Like a schoolboy so lost
Never found until now
.
Chorus:
And all this could be
Just a dream so it seems
I was never much good at goodbye
.
Bridge?:
Yet it's hard
Living life on this memory-go-round
Always up, always down
Turning 'round and 'round and 'round
.
Chorus:
And all this could be
Just a dream so it seems
I was never much good at goodbye
.
Chorus:
And all this could be
Just a dream so it seems
I was never much good at goodbye
.
Goodbyyyyyyyye, Goodbyyyyyyyyye, Goodbye, Goodbye,
goodbye.
