I think you're doing just fine... it really depends on how much your baby wants to eat.

My six month old has been eating solids for about 5 weeks now... he's a big eater so he eats about 2 servings of half a cup of cereal each day and half a jar of veggies or fruit. He still drinks plenty.

Just remember that this is supposed to be supplementation at this point... breatmilk or formula should still be her main food source.

Also, I hope you gave her veggies before fruit, if she likes the fruit a lot you may have troubles giving her veggies later on.

Good luck with your little one and remember that a lot of parenting has to be trusting yourself, everyone has different opinions so listen to what your gut tells you and what you baby seems to want. Jeez, I had old ladies telling me to give my son cereal when he was only 3 weeks old!

maybe a little much but as long as she is still drinking plenty of formula or breastmilk (24 oz every day! ask you Dr about this!) I would say sounds pretty good. Just remember she doesnt really need the solids right now, most say start fruit at 8 months (veggies at 7) but if you want to give her some it wont hurt her. just not too much and watch anything with too much acid, no oranges or anything. Other than that I would say she sounds like she is eating very well.

I think your giving her too much of the formula and not enough solids.. I give my son 2 - 4oz bottles along with one 8oz a day, sometimes he has a 6oz but thats only if he gets up really early. I give him the 2nd foods, one fruit in the morning and one veggie at night. His bedtime (an hour before bed) is bananas mixed with oatmeal or cereal, its premixed so i dont know how much it has in it. So on average he has 16 oz of formula a day and 3 meals of solids, which is what his pediatrician said to do.

That is ALOT of food for a 6 month old! As long as shes still taking in enough formula, she should be fine.

I would start to phase out the pre-packaged stuff and get her eating fresh ASAP. Whole oats and fresh fruits like banana or avocado are a good place to start!

Within a couple months she will probably start reaching for food and feeding herself... then she can just eat what youre eating.

sounds fine. she is getting the 24 ounces of formula that she needs (yes, she needs at least 24 ounces everyday) so any amount of solids she wants is fine.
I wouldnt change a thing.
