Why You have only had the phone a year !!! With contracts you have another year to qualify for the special upgrade rebate. That's why most companies offer new every 2.
My son and I upgrade every 2 years and donate our old phones to the phones for domestic violence drive. Maybe try being thankful you have a phone, and dont take things for granted. Not all kids have a cell phone.
If my son acted like such a brat , id take the phone away until he wised up.

ok, here i go again.....first off, it's spelled phone, not fone, and break, not brake, brake is the wide pedal in a car that makes it stop. second, you are a spoiled rich kid and that's a bad thing, third i've had my cell phone for almost 2 years now and it's still working fine. and last, but not least, yes the phone would break if you throw it under a bus, and no i do not think it would be a good idea, and i'm not going to tell you what is wrong with that idea.
you need to be thinking about school, not how to get a new phone.

omg ur a spoiled brat. If you want the new phone so bad, work for it, use some of your money that you want to spend on clothes, why should your mom pay for it, she has a lot more stuff that she needs to use her money for, food, a house, taxes, the clothes of the rest of your family, etc. All you have to do with your money is buy junk that you'll probably just throw away in a year. if you REALLy cant pay for it, ask for it for your birthday, i'm sure your mom will agree. DONT BREAK IT tahts such a waste, and if i were your mom i wouldnt' buy you a new phone at all, cause i'd see that you arent yet responsible enough to have one. jeez

Yeah, bad idea. Because I'm sure your not paying for that "phone". And if your mom found out you did that she would make you pay her with your clothes money. So if you have money think about what you want or need the most. If it's a new phone great. New clothes even better. But don't make your mom pay if you have enough money.

Oh my gosh you spoiled brat!!! And being a spoiled brat is a bad thing. You should just be happy you have a cell phone and appreciate ur money more!!! Ur being so stupid and if I was ur mom i would say no to teach u a lesson. And if you broke ur phone i still wouldn't let you and i also wouldn't let you go anywhere since u broke ur phone on purpose, lied, and have no way of calling. That would teach a little brat like you to appreciate what you have.

OK first of all if you want a new phone tell your mom you will pay for it. And second of if you throw it under the bus it will break...and doing that is not a very good idea because what if your mom doesn't buy you a new phone? Then you wouldn't have a phone at all.

Unfortunately your parents have failed to teach you to appreciate what you have in life. When my daughters were younger they had a cell phone service that was used for emergency use only. When THEY could pay for a more expensive plan they got it.I wanted the peace of mind of knowing that they could contact me or someone else in an emergency. If my daughters intentionally broke their phone it would be the last one I would pay for .It's called responsibility and accountability. In our home money didn't grow on trees.

Haa yes I think it would break. Obviously.
But if you want a new phone, you'd think there was a better way of going about it. Can't you just charge your old phone?
Parents arent made of money you know. There might be a reason she doesnt want to pay for a new phone.
Talk to you mom, and if she won't buy you a new phone save up yourself.
If you are set on breaking it, please think of a better and safer method.
And whoever asked why should your parents pay for it, if her parents can afford to buy phones and choose to there's nothing wrong with that. You would buy your children toys etc wouldn't you? It's just a difference in price range, but that might not be an issue for them. They could be rich for all we know.

it will definitely break if you throw it under the bus. If you are old enough to have a cell phone then you are old enough to save your money to buy or trade in your cell phone for a new one. Try buying a new battery what could it hurt to try..
