A wierd question but everytime the camera went to her she was crying. I didn't catch the beginning so did Ryan Seacrest say something??

She was a set up. All for show. She appeared on the Today show and said she was at the dress rehearsals with the same reactions, and they asked her back for the show and they put her right up front where the cameras could see her. I think Simon thought she was crying because Sanjaya was so bad, but Ryan said, it was because she loved Sanjay.

The news people on my local news that evening said she was at the dress rehearsal and cried there, too. The producers put her in a spot in the audience where the cameras could find her easily.
She is a fan of Santjaya. She cried with "joy" when he came out. This reminds me of the girls who were so excited at seeing the Beatles when they came to America, that they cried. The cameras didn't show her crying UNTIL Santjaya came out.
She wasn't sad or unhappy, just excited and it came out as crying. The producers thought this would make good tv.

She was caught up in the moment. I cried when a celebrity I don't even really care for came and did a public appearance at my hometown school. not because of talent or anything but its like the "Oh my Gawd.. I am in the same room as this famous tv show and people all over the world will see me and these people are famous" she was starstruck.. but.. the question really should be.. Why Sanjaya SUCKS<<

i know! im sorry but i did laugh everytime the camera was on her! she was crying because she was so happy to be there! Ryan spoke to her at the beginning of the show! then at the end she went on stage to meet her idols! bless

I think it's because the show was so dire! The suggestion was that she was a bot overcome at seeing her idols in the flesh. Was pitiful I thought! Remember the days of women fainting in hysteria at top boy bands - scale it down a few years & this is what the youth of today look like!

LOL i was wondering the same thing when i was watching it this morning!!
i just really don't understand why or how she could be that emotional???
its not like her brother, sister or auntie were singing on the stage, she was a just part of the audience. as sweet as she was on stage at the end of the show, it was just pathetic!!!
however i have to admit she made me laugh!!

I guess she was all excited about seeing Sanjaya (oops, excuse me, I threw up in my mouth a little bit), and that's just how she expresses that. I figure the producers/director "planted" her in that spot to drum up some interest and publicity, as those are what Constantine (a contestant from season 4) called "the money seats". He thought it was set up.

Because she was a really really big fan of Sanjaya so when he started to perform she started crying.
But if u askk me she just wanted to be on tv

I saw her too, but i have no idea why she was crying. I think that was the only reason the camera kept on focusing on her.
