I don't know what type of mouse you have on your laptop but you can Start using USB optical mouse & their is no need of cleaning it, as in roller mouse case. You will find it convient also.

Even though I bought a spray for my laptop screen 'Monster ScreenClean' at SonyStyle store, its also can clean up the mouse thing on laptop.
I think you could get an electronics anti-static cleaner spray with a very soft cotton to clean over the entire laptop, keyboard and screen.

make sure the computer is turned off.
cover the keyboard so nothing gets in it.
us the alcohol wipes made for the screens.
if it is the rubber surface pad, be extra carefull.
if it is the steel surface, you can be more agressive, just don't get so much fluid on it that it runs under the edges.
