I've seen here that people dislike liberals because 'they spend more'.
But here is the thing..since Bush took office, spending has increased in EVERY department since 2001. Not just defense. EVERY department.
Add the Homeland Security, Iraq & Afghanistan wars, billions for contracters..
And then the national debt has increased to nearly 9 trillion, from the 5 trillion when Clinton was in office..
I think I'd maintain Clinton was more fiscally responsible than Bush ever could be.
You could try to blame Bush's overspending on Democrats, but you would be wrong, since the GOP controlled Congress from 2002-2006.
So I maintain Bush is a liberal. Big on spending money..and if not from taxes, he'll just borrow it and put America at the mercy of debtors in China, Japan, Europe, and wherever else.
It seems to me true conservatives would object to Bush's big government objectives. But maybe Bush supporters are just big government liberals in disguise?
