It depends on how you are masturbating. If you are jacking off fast and not taking your time to 'control' your ejaculations (cumming), then yeah - you will likely not be able to hold off that well during sexual contact.
My 'learning' to hold off, taking your time to *** - you will learn to enjoy the sensations longer and therefore - take more time to ejaculate. Masturbation is great way for guys to learn to 'hold off' on ejaculating.
Masturbate until you feel the 'rush' and you are about to ejaculate, and then stop touching your penis. The first few times semen may still squirt out. But after a few attempts, you'll be able to jack off and stop, continue and stop, continue etc....prolonging the time before you finally ejaculate your semen.

I don't know, it could help you to learn to control it or it could get you use to getting off fast. I think that only you might be able to actually answer this by checking out how it is affecting you, that is if you are able to. I think it is a lazy way out.

Depends on how much you "get off".. You may come ( no pun intended) to rely on you only satisfying yourself..My boyfriend has NEVER came in front of me. He has a little "thing" he likes to do in private..
