What the answerer "really" said is correct. Morally speaking the tournament has to be canceled or postponed and replayed later, just to honor the death of an important person in the history of the game. Also, the police have discovered that Bob Woolmer was murdered, so for the safety of other cricketers and management, it would be wise to stop the world cup temporarily & make sure all security measures are in place before continuing on.
But realistically that is not possible because there is a lot of money involved in the World Cup & the sponsors cannot afford to postpone or restart the World Cup later, because they will be losing millions of dollars in the process.
So, morally and ideally speaking it should be stopped or postponed. But realistically speaking, it will go on according to the original schedule.

Woolmer's death poses a big question to cricket worshippers. Are they watching a cricket match where the two teams are really going all out to defeat one another? Or are they watching an elaborate dramma being directed by match fixers with connections to the high and mighty, where one team is only putting on a show to win when the result is predetermined? ICC needs to investigate this and put forth a satisfactory answer before proceeding with WC 2007. ICC has been less than sincere in this matter, obviously raising suspicions of the complicity of a few in their flock in the matter. They have been more zealous though in earning money. Till match fixing comes to an end, more Woolmers would lose their lives. As cricket lovers, we would do a service to this fine game by stopping to watch it till things are resolved for the better.

Of course.Because we don't rely on a single coach for the biggest event of sports, i.e cricket world cup.If we discontinue the world cup after Woolmer's death then it would be like throwing your precious multiple stoned studded diamond ring after losing just a single stone.yes, its true that we have lost one of the best cricketer and a coach but we should not discontinue the world cup for the sake of the coach, cricketers,we the people and of course lastly but not the least cricket itself.

why not?? yes its a major incident but nothing says that it is directly due to the present world cup. nothing yet suggests that it could not have happened if pakistan had lost a game outside of thw world cup. and i am wondering whether there would have been that questsion if this has happened outside of the west indies

This life is a stream, we are all bubbles floating in it. A froth destroys us and we perish easily. New bubbles are formed from the same stream and life (stream) goes on and on!
This planet will not stop rotaing for anyone.Time moves.. We chase the hour glass. We have to carry on with our work, entertainments etc etc...
