I have a performance 2moro and I've just started my period today. Tomorrow I have to wear white trousers, and as always, my period will become worse. I have very heavy periods and use maxi pads, so the pad will show and I don't want to use tampons, coz if I mess it up, I'll have an even bigger problem, plus my mum won't let me. 10x

That is a dilemma! I would suggest dicussing this with your mother more. Hopefully she will understand how important it is to you to feel comfortable whilst performing. It is hard to mess tampons up too. They are safe and comfortable to use if you follow the instructions. Talk to your mother about this also, ensure her that they are safe and the only way in which it will affect you is that you will have a better day tomorrow. Good luck with the performance.

Ever heard of the menstrual cup? Last time I checked it was 18.99 pounds (postage included). It's a bell-shaped silicone cup which collects the blood. You only need one. I have been using one for over a year without a problem. You just empty it in the toilet, then either cover it with warm water and boil in the microwave for 2 minutes, or soak in sterilising fluid for a few minutes. No infection risk, and if you put it in properly you won't leak. Wear that with a slim pad and you'll have enough protection. You'll be surprised how much that little cup can hold.
I'll say follow the other's advice, and then start saving for your own cup, and buy it without mother knowing. It'll make your life easier.

the first few times i wore a tampon it was irritating, and that would be bad for you for a performance :). I'd use a pad, but try to wear a skirt and nobody will notice!

I personally don't like tampons. I would suggest using cotton underwear and not thongs. I'd also wear some gym shorts over the top. Go to the bathroom as often as it possible.

I was going to suggest using a tampon and then to be sure you are going to be ok through your performance also use a towel but a thinner one so it doesnt show as much. Perhaps tell your mum your concerns and she may be able to help

You should ask your mum to let you use tampons, even though they have thier risks! Or change your outfit for the performance if that is possible! :S
Good luck with the perfrmance x x x

tampon is the solution for you. you will still need to wear a pantyliner just incase. unless you can eat something to stop the period. you should consider talking your mom about pills to help you out. you can regulate your period that way. new pills works wonders.

Why won't your mom let you use tampons? That's about the only thing that you could use to make this better. Try asking her permission just this once.

Dont tell your mum.
Use a tampon and put a thin panty liner in your pants too to guard against any leakage.
Good luck.
