Well, no one is perfect anyway. Just make sure that you're surrounded by friends who will support you and that you also show them that same respect. Then, you will have less problems. There will still be times when a friend messes up, but good friends will try hard not to.

They are hunter's not best friends. Just kidding!!! My best friends are hunters. They are not best friends or they would use the knife to protect you with their lives not stab you.. Diff for best friend. They tell you every thing to your face. They tell you you are going to make a miss take dating that guy but let you do it any way. Then they hug you and say I told you so. They are there no matter what happens to you and are there for you. They should know you better then you know your self. They know of the time you did some thing that every one would like to know and they keep the secret when all others would be telling every one. That trip to Vegas when you should not have done but you did.When you was on spring break. Your best friend should know things you should never tell your husband you did before you was married to him. Bambi Dump that ***** she is not a best friend. Be a best friend and get one that is. Sometimes they are not true friends and they are jealous of you and envious so if they are true friend they would not do that and stick by you no matter what you said or did that is what a true friend is but sometimes friendships don't last for one reason or another but if this friend back stabbed you then it would not be worth a friendship so cut your losses and remember don't tell your darkest secrets to anyone especially your friend because friend come and go but family will always be there for you so choose your friend with caution and trust when trust is given and only when you know you can really trust that person.

Best friends don't backstab you - enemies do. Just write if off as a one time bad judgement call on your behalf - by the way, write this "best friend" off while you're at it.

many reasons:
Popularity ranking (in other words thats whats expected of them by there other friends)
Insecurity (they think they are hanging around a loser, and dont want there "image" ruined by you)
They are over (they just don't want to be friends anymore and it seems better to betray you than tell the truth)
