JB, we like to think that immediacy lends itself to history - but not in this case - I guarantee you that other PMs have lied their way through office.
Tony Blair is only a one in a series of liar's.
Remember, it took a lot of diplomacy (and lying and shifty practices!) to build the greatest Empire history has ever seen.
