Wow, that's me in a nutshell. I have depression and ADD, and not doing my homework and school work and putting off things with my friends makes me so unbelievably guilty. I cry a lot and distance myself from other people, but then sometimes it gets to the point where I'm like "Oh well, I'm not going to do my work anyway because I'm so miserable... might as well surf the web, or play a game, or say I did my homework though I didn't." And then I'm doing something fun, and forget the guilt.
And then once I'm reminded of what I've done, I get miserable again.
Sometimes I force myself to feel guilty if I believe I should... I think of things I regret to make myself stop enjoying something, like watching TV when I'm not supposed to. Yeah, I sit around and feel miserable, but at least I'm taking advantage of that time for fun when I should be doing work.

Eh, I'm kind of going in circles now. But yeah, it's a vicious cycle, and even though I may be not guilty some times, being not guilty usually makes me feel guilty in the end.
