If you are under 25 you probably need more sleep which is why you like sitting around doing nothing - your body knows best.

If you find something totally compelling your urge to do it will overcome your urge to stay immobile.

Some people get pleasure from physical exercise etc and learn to like that sensation more than lying around. They often had physically active or sporty parents. They can feel endorphins released in the body which make them feel terrific.

Helping other people can be a great motivator....imagine rescuing a little girl from an earthquake building - lots of physical effort needed and courage, for a selfless act. Smaller less dramatic work along the same lines can do it.

You seem to be very hard on yourself.....why say 'utter' laziness?

You will most likely outgrow it. Try being with people who approve of you and encourage you, rather than criticise you all the time. You will get there.

Sit down and write short term goals. For example, plan how you can raise an additional $1,000.00 in the next two weeks. And then carry out that plan by working more hours. Gain a positive attitude by reinforcing yourself. And when you reach a goal, you make more goals which are harder and takes up more time, that way, you train yourself to be goal oriented. This might help.

Crack.
You'll get addicted, then need to work to pay for more. ^_^

Seriously, though. The only way is to work. Get off your butt, and just go do it. After awhile you will get into the habbit of working & not being so lazy & it will be natural. You'll start to wonder how you ever were so lazy & all without the cash flow problems associated with drugs.
